Update 2.04 is out!

Tonight, the new update was published.

As you might have already noticed, the user interface was modified a bit. The game now says goodbye to the old-school bracket look, and uses more button-style elements. In addition, selecting a character has improved. A hint: If you want to change position, slightly move a character slot to either side. The slot will turn red and the hint will indicate that you can now move the slot to another position. I will make this more clear with the next update (which is already in the works).

Also, please visit our forums to get the latest news about the game. There is a problem with the forest map which might occur in certain circumstances, you can find the announcement for this here: http://silversword-rpg.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=346

All the best

Busy with updates

Yes,… and 2.0.4 is already waiting for review 🙂

This one will bring major improvements to the UI. No more oldschool bracket links, I traded them in for button-style. Selecting things should become easier, and the character screen should be more user-friendly now (in terms of navigating). Just a few days and you can see for yourself. In addition, some more things were implemented:

– New character selection system
– Removed [ and ] explanation from manual
– Gwyddon now heals injured members
– Added Change Position + Charge! commands to manual + compendium
– Forget-Me-Nots are now easier
– Set Beacon spell now shows bound map name
– Included Map Notes HowTo in manual
– Inferno now accessible even if Maruziel was not yet defeated
– various manual / compendium additions
– some other fixes

In the works…

Curious about what’s coming soon?

The UI is a major subject, and so it’s part of the development. Here’s a screenshot of some of the enhancements… see the difference?

New year, great updates!

With the upcoming update (2.03) we will give you more nice features and enhancements:

  • Inferno now connected permanently to the world, so that you may visit it again later
  • Hide in Shadows now always gets the highest initiative, making the rogue more powerful
  • Arch Mages get a Rejuvenation spell to cure OLD
  • Hidden characters now can be healed and affected by other friendly spells
  • Mortifer’s Soul Whip now available for Wizards (added automatically if you have Mind Control already)
  • A graphical level-up indicator was added
  • The version number can now be checked on the settings screen
  • Any throwing weapons will be re-equipped after a fight even if you have none left in your inventory
  • Some map improvements and bug fixes

You are very welcome to visit our forums and suggest more improvements to the game. We are listening and trying to get everything done (did I mention that update 2.04 is already in the make?).

Thank you so much for your support dear friends of classic role-playing!

Update 2.03

The next update is already waiting for review by Apple. Both Lite and Full version get new features, bug fixes and enhancements. In addition, for the next days, the game will go for 1.59 €  / $1.99, so grab your copy today 🙂 I wish you all a peaceful happy new year.

Christmas Present

The greatest present for me is the successful release of Silversword (you guessed it). A year ago I didn’t knew that I scratched the surface of something real complex. And then began a special flow, which carried me away almost every day after work. The game grew and finally made it to a state where I could give it away to other players.

It is far from perfect, and of course many people can’t just get the feeling we old-school players have when grinding through text -based encounters. But the game is nearly exact what I wanted it to become. So my goal is achieved.

I wish you all great and peaceful holidays and a happy new year 2012, maybe some of you might even want to start developing, too. It is not as complicated as it seems 😉

As a special present for you, I put up another promo giveaway in the forum. Drop me a PM and be one of the lucky people who get a game for free.

Apple on holidays

Because iTunes Connect is closed from 22th to 29th of December, the next update (2.0.3) will not be released before January. Luckily, there are no known major issues with the game right now, so I hope you all can and will enjoy exploring Silversword during the holidays. If you encounter any issues, feel free to use our forums – we’ll listen!

It’s here!

The full version has just gone live!

You can grab it here – enjoy 🙂

New website design online!

Hello dear friends,

I have decided to clean things up and activate a new website design. It is now wordpress based which suits my needs more than the old sitebuilder-construct. In addition to keep you updated more comfortable, the multiplication effect to the Facebook site and the twitter channel is quite charming.

I hope you like the new design. I am still working on some details, but all in all this will be it.

Regards
Mario

Update 1.9.4

"I got goosebumps while reading through the manual for the first time. iOS devs just don't make games on this scale. It's such a poetic app."
