I just submitted a new update (2.4.7) to the App Store. It will fix some issues with iOS 8, mainly a scrolling issue and some resolution problems. It should go live within the next days, so stay tuned 🙂
To celebrate the 4th of July, as well as our new house, Silversword is given out for free this week. Grab it while you can. Remember: No In-App Purchase is needed to complete the game, although I am happy if you donate some coins to me by buying something from the ingame shop 🙂

Thank you very much, Hericonejito, for reviewing Silversword!
“In my opinion, this is one of the biggest attempts in gaming for mobile devices. An RPG needs a lot of time dealing with it and the developers have dedicated much of their time to make the game as appealing as it can be for all kind of gamers. I assure you that the game worths a try, especially if you are looking for a real game and not something to just pass your time without thinking a lot.”

The april sale is ending today. Grab the game while it is still cheap and take part in the fantastic story of the Silversword!
The next update is already in preparation, v2.4.2 will be released in May – with exciting new features 🙂
With the next update a list of your boss mob kills will be added to your Map & Log screen. A picture of the creature, along with information about your party will be shown, so that you will never forget this glorious moment! And you can even share this moment with your friends – the option of posting the message on twitter and facebook will be added, too.
Thank you very much my friends, for your great participation in the game’s development and your dedication to the forums.
Actually there are 1093 Threads with 5057 Posts online since the forums were established in 2011! GREAT!
With 526 members it really feels like a big family – you keep me going on 🙂
The actual update brings some bug fixes and a small new feature: by touching the character portrait, you can now select a custom image from your photo gallery. Caution: Transparency won’t work. If you want a transparency effect, you have to modify the custom picture by yourself. You can download it, modify, and upload it again via iTunes App Sharing. The pictures are named after the corresponding character. When renaming a character, you will also have to rename the picture if you want to keep it.
It’s time to once more add new features to Silversword, to enhance your Bard’s Tale adventure spirit. Things to come (after christmas, with the next update): Weaknesses and immunities to certain elements like fire, ice, poison, divine magic etc. — this should make some challenges more interesting and give me more opportunities of adding new spells. In addition, some more creatures are waiting for you on yet uncharted lands… happy holidays and best wishes for 2014!
Thank you for your support

Lisa blinked and rubbed her eyes. Something was sparkling in the sand. Carefully, she reached down and grabbed the thing. A gold coin! She quickly looked around, then she cleaned the coin in the fabric of her dress. There was a ship on the front side, and the outline of a head on the back. Lisa could not see any details, because sea and sand had rubbed the coin.
She looked across the sea. A sudden longing seized her and pulled her into the distance. Did she just see dark shadows on the horizon? Shadows of palm trees, mysterious forests and mountains? Unexplored caves with sparkling beads and treasures waiting for her.
But she had to hurry, otherwise the others would probably be faster and she would once more be the poor silly girl.
Yes, this time it was her turn. The coin had found her. With the treasure she could give her family a better future. But first she would buy new clothes. And a private boat. And maybe a little hut on the beach.
When fisherman John got up the next morning to catch the fish for today, he was very surprised that his boat was gone. He was even more surprised when he got no response to the calls for his daughter…
