Re: Lost Temple - Find the Artifact

In the dark area, there is a door at the NE corner. The gong just tells you it's midnight.

Re: Thoughts so far...

You’re right! To get to the arms shop you pass through a room where people are gambling.

Re: Thoughts so far...

I think it's kind of interesting to view places like Savage Crossing (or Annsharbour or Paradosa) as places that ONCE WERE functioning towns but have fallen on hard times since the rise of Maruziel. Re: Question about INT stat

I agree with that, but remember wizardz would visit a camp before an encounter like that and swap characters around. Also, consider that you could (in theory) have them using a Silversword and two Singing Swords with silver (or better) runes, and singing three Spirit Chants so your mages can cast Re...

Re: Miner's Deep. Wow.

Several of icetear’s maps were masterpieces: inferno, Silver Mountains Top, Castillo Artonsa, etc. But Miners Deep was the toughest. Like you, I stumbled through and never went back. :o If you liked the dark squares, wait till Lair of Morthammr! I have an unmapped area in the middle just marked “Dea...

Re: Do I Need a Bard?

Yes, it's the monsters that can't be critically hit, can't be stoned, and are magic resistant that make rogue, hunter, Silversword, etc, less useful. I gave my Paladin the Axe of Souls and my warrior/DC the Staff of Storms for this reason. I still have the Paladin in the lineup for the toHit bonuses...

Re: Do I Need a Bard?

I agree. I'm keeping the bard. In fact, soon I'll try playing with two bards. Right now I'm playing with two DC, and loving the rogue DC casting from hiding and still earning master thief points. I'm considering dropping the paladin, though, and using a summoned creature instead, probably an astral ...
