i killed the creature in the maze at the heart of the Plane of Earth, and noticed afterwards an odd quirk that confused me for a while. I got a notice that ahead of me was the captured dragon, etc., and couldn't figure out where it was, and finally figured out that it was the one I had already killed.
That's the problem with a maze with constantly shifting walls: you can't be sure the player will hit the description text first and the encounter after. I simply made it to the encounter first and only saw the description of what I was about to encounter on my way out.
