DLC progression (spoilers)

Do I have to sit on this egg to hatch it? I put it in the lava cradle after beating Maruziel, but nothing happened. So then I went to explore Watertop, did a ton of grinding, said hello to the void dragon, went back to the egg - nothing. Tried equipping the dragon claw and that didn’t do anything either.

I checked the forums and it doesn’t seem like I’m missing a step, so I sent my saved game via support.

You have to visit the Crystal Sea first and find the entrance to the planes. This will make the egg hatch.

I’ll just ignore the spoiler! I mainly thought it was a bug because I’d read through some posts on what to do next and wasn’t being observant enough.
